J'emploie les résines stratifiées pour leur parfaite
adaptabilité à la forme d’origine. Elles offrent de grandes
possibilités de moulage et permettent de réaliser des séries. A
l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur, les sculptures monumentales sont
faciles à mettre en œuvre grâce à leur faible poids.
D’une haute résistance mécanique, elles vont pouvoir braver les
intempéries et défier les années. Leur matière est riche et les
possibilités de coloration sont nombreuses par leur souplesse
d’emploi, sans outillage spécial, les composites acceptent d’être
moulés, sciés, façonnés, polis, repris, peints… Je maitrise la
chaine de fabrication d’un bout à l’autre.
Ce matériau porte l’imagination au lieu de la brider, c’est
maintenant le retour de l’artiste à "l’état pur". Avec les
composites, je m’investit totalement dans mon œuvre, je découvre la
docilité de cette matière et l’invite à l’invention de nouvelles
formes.
I utilize stratified resins, as they can be
perfectly adapted to the shape of sculptures, and offer a wide range
of possibilities for casting. They allow for a rich texture and many
possibilities of coloring.They are also suitable to a limited
production run exact replicas.
Indoor and outdoor monumental sculptures are easy to realize because
they are light weight and they have a high mechanical resistance.
They are also weather resistant and age resistant. The composites I
use are quite flexible and do not require any special tools. They
can be cast, sawn, shaped, polished, painted and touched up. They
permit a total control of the production process.
These materials let my imagination soar and enable me to real
artistic work. I can be totally involved in my work and discover how
submissive these materials are. This lets my imagination run away
and encourages me to create new forms.
